Find Your Balance This Fall

1)  Stay Active. The crisp fall weather lends itself to outdoor activities like walking, running and biking. Aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day. Hydrate and warm up with Lipton® Green Tea before working out. Sip on a cup of hot green tea before your sessions to help keep you hydrated (and motivated).

2)  Savor Fall Produce. With the changing of the seasons comes changes in seasonal produce! Look for fresh, in season produce like acorn squash, cauliflower, sweet potatoes and pumpkin. In general, the more variety of color you can eat the better - as each different colored vegetable offers a variety of nutrients!

3)  Get Back On a Routine. With the fall, comes the feeling of “getting back to your normal routine”. This may sound mundane, but for many a routine allows the opportunity to focus on themselves and family. Leave time in your routine for planning to achieve your goals. For example, if your goal for the fall is to make better food choices at dinnertime, take some downtime on Sunday to make yourself a shopping list including the ingredients for your favorite, better-for-you recipes. Not only do you save time at the grocery store, but also when it’s time for meal prep you know exactly what you’re going to make and you have all the ingredients. No more last minute trips to the grocery store!
